Professional carbon fiber 3D printers for the factory floor

Last updated: 13.06 2022

Stratasys complements the product range with two new 3D printers ready for printing in carbon fiber reinforced materials. These printers thus extend the scope of additive manufacturing on the factory floor.

Stratasys takes additive manufacturing to a new level and launches two carbon fiber 3D printers, the F190CR and F370CR. Both printers are compatible with carbon fiber reinforced materials such as ABS-CF10 and Nylon-CF10, as well as up to six high-performance types of thermoplastic. These materials create a wider range of applications for demanding manufacturing applications.

F190CR and F370CR are an excellent choice for companies and industry that lack the ability to reliably create production tools, clamping tools, fixtures and prototypes with composite materials and other materials, in industrial quality. The new 3D printers deliver strong, rigid and chemically resistant items.

Applications:

  • Clamping tools and fixtures
  • Robot grippers
  • Production tools
  • Functional prototypes
  • Production items in low numbers

Beats nearest competitors

The printing method in the new product series consists of the proven FDM technology from Stratasys. Studies have shown a 100% reliability in the F123CR series, which beats the nearest competitor by 21%.

Compared to competing products, Stratasys' new 3D printers offer a wider range of materials, a larger build volume, better support materials and lower material costs.

With a larger, fully heated building chamber in both the F190CR and F370CR printers, larger items can be printed at full density for the highest strength than is possible in competitors' 3D printers.

60% stronger nylon material

Stratasys has also launched the FDM Nylon-CF10, a new composite material for the F123CR series 3D printers. The material is over 60% stronger and almost three times as stiff as the base nylon material. The carbon fiber material is just one of many materials available on F123CR series printers. With Stratasys support materials, users have the ability to print any geometry without any restrictions.

Water-soluble support material for PolyJet

Last updated: 13.06 2022

Stratasys has launched a new unique support material for two of their PolyJet 3D printers. The support material dissolves easily in clean tap water, which significantly reduces the finishing time.

Stratasys has launched a new revolutionary support material for the Stratasys J35 Pro, and the Stratasys J55 Prime. The WSS150 dissolves in tap water or a dishwasher, without the use of chemicals. The material is particularly useful where manual cleaning can cause fragile parts to break.

  • First water-soluble support material for PolyJet
  • Super simple, no manual work required
  • Avoid damaging items with delicate details
  • Save investment on expensive finishing equipment

Provides greater design freedom

With the WSS150, designers and designers get greater design freedom when it comes to detailed and complex details, without worrying about how to remove the support material. WSS150 is also suitable for the production of larger volumes as several items can be cleaned at the same time, as opposed to having to finish items individually.

Dissolve in tap water or a regular dishwasher

To remove the support material, items can simply be placed in tap water, alternatively they can be placed in a conventional or professional dishwasher for shorter dissolution time. With the WSS150, users of the J35 and J55 can now easily complement 3D printing in their work processes, without the need for expensive or cumbersome finishing systems.

Contactless power and data transmission for the movers

Beckhoff achieves a new quantum leap in terms of machine flexibility with the innovative No Cable Technology (NCT) for the XTS intelligent transport system. This is made possible by contactless power supply and synchronous real-time data communication, enabling individual XTS movers to be expanded into mobile handling and processing stations.
